Parent Teacher Conferences 11/10

Today a flyer went home for parent teacher conferences. Since we are a large class, there are some time slots for Wednesday and Thursday, as well as Friday. Parent teacher conferences will be between the family and the homeroom teacher. We will cover all academic/social subjects we have covered thus far.

Open House

Open House is this Thursday October 19th from 6-7PM. Our group is excited to show you our space and things we've been working on in class. We look forward to seeing you there!

School Store!

The school store will be open this Friday!

What: Students may purchase school supplies from the school store. Prices range from $0.25 to $1.50

Where: Gym

When: 8:30-9:00 AM

Students may be asked to put their purchases in their bags if they prove to be distracting.

Week of 10/10 Homework

Happy Tuesday! Homework was handed out today. We continue to work on theme, specifically how it is different than a story's plot. Sixth graders received a packet including division, GCF, and some place value practice.

Students will need to read for 20 minutes every day. Additionally, they need to demonstrate an understanding of theme using the graphic organizer. If they are reading more than one book, please make sure each piece of reading has a theme included.

Students may ask for homework assistance during morning work time, or during quiet time.

Homework is due Friday.

Wednesday Handouts: pictures and lunch forms

The pictures came in from picture day! Picture retakes will happen on October 16th.

Homework Week of 10/2

Math homework and reading homework were given out today. We had a fun-filled day and neglected to add to our planning books that all homework is due on Thursday. Thanks!
